U.S. Embassy Delegation Visits Chemaf’s Mutoshi Site

KOLWEZI, DRC — As part of DRC Mining Week, the Virtus Minerals team welcomed a U.S. diplomatic delegation to its operations in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

U.S. Chargé d'Affaires Ian J. McCary, joined by other representatives of the U.S. Embassy in Kinshasa, toured the Chemaf Mutoshi site in Kolwezi, Lualaba Province, led by Virtus CEO Phillip Braun and Sooryanarayan Prabhakaran, Managing Director of Lloyds Metals and Energy's DRC operations.

The delegation reviewed formalization, safety improvements comprehensive measures to bring pre-existing ASM into compliance with the Congolese laws and regulations across our concessions following the acquisition, alongside progress on the completion of the Mutoshi processing plant, targeted for full operation in 2027.
